How money and claims work

The homepage stays a door. Proof lives here.

How it works

  1. 01
Authorize. The Nation authorizes the program, sets protocol, approves participants, and directs uses.
  2. 02
Design. Define the protocol, approved contribution methods, Partner listing requirements and funding plan with the Nation.
  3. 03
Join. A business or specialist signs the protocol and selects an approved contribution method.
  4. 04
Verify. Verify the protocol, received contribution and reporting before listing an Inawendiwin Partner for a stated period.
  5. 05
Steward. Contributions release only for Nation-approved priorities inside the three types.
Inawendiwin contributions support three kinds of Nation-directed stewardship:
    Land and water
Guardian work, water protection and monitoring, and habitat restoration.
    People and knowledge
Youth training and learning that keep that care going.
    Community care
Local care the authorizing Nation puts on its approved list.
The Nation chooses the uses inside these types.
  6. 06
Report & renew. Publish contributions and approved uses. Renew Partner status only for the period the protocol, contribution and reporting rules are met.

1% remits 100% to the Nation

The 1% remits in full to the Nation. Not taken off a Nation invoice. Written agreements must identify the recipient, handling arrangements and approval controls before contributions begin.

Administered by Waaseyak

Waaseyak Corp. administers the program under Nation authority. Inawendiwin is a client file when a Nation authorizes it.

No Nation as signed client

No Nation is treated as a signed client. Nations authorize the program, set protocol, approve participants and direct uses.

Program structure

Inawendiwin is the public brand for the Inawendiwin Stewardship Program, administered by Waaseyak Corp. under Nation authority.

What Partner listing proves

Partner listing proves protocol, contribution, and reporting for a stated period only. Not consent, consultation, social licence, Indigenous ownership, carbon neutrality, or a product-wide sustainability rating.

Control

Nations retain program authority and direct approved uses. Contributors receive no ownership or repayment.

Program scope

Focus is stewardship programming. Inawendiwin does not operate the crews. It funds work the Nation approves.

Contributions do not confer ownership or a right to profits. Partner status records protocol, contribution and reporting for a stated period.

Nation authorization does not replace applicable legal requirements. No provider appointment is promised.

Contribution tracks

Inawendiwin contributions support three kinds of Nation-directed stewardship:
Land and water
Guardian work, water protection and monitoring, and habitat restoration.
People and knowledge
Youth training and learning that keep that care going.
Community care
Local care the authorizing Nation puts on its approved list.
The Nation chooses the uses inside these types.

Administration ≠ contribution. Same company, two roles.

  • Business track. Participating businesses contribute by a Nation-approved method: a percentage of defined revenue, a customer-facing amount, or a fixed annual tier. An Inawendiwin Partner — Business listing follows verification for a stated period.
  • Waaseyak contribution. Waaseyak contributes 1% of its own client revenue. The 1% remits in full to the Nation. Not taken off a Nation invoice. When received and verified under the protocol, it may list Waaseyak as an Inawendiwin Partner for that period, on the same terms as any other contributor.
  • Specialist track. A specialist contributes 1% of fees on a Waaseyak-referred file only. Independent work is outside the protocol. Seat fee ≠ stewardship contribution. A roster listing alone does not make a Partner. An Inawendiwin Partner — Specialist listing requires receipt of that contribution and verification of the protocol and reporting for the stated period.

What participation is not

A stewardship contribution and a relationship.

Not charity theatre. Not a marketing claim.

Partner listing proves protocol, contribution, and reporting for a stated period only.

Not consent, consultation, social licence, Indigenous ownership, carbon neutrality, or a product-wide sustainability rating.

Contributions do not buy consent, satisfy consultation or accommodation, waive rights, or replace regulatory duties.

Waaseyak administers. Inawendiwin is a client file when a Nation authorizes it.

No Nation is treated as a signed client.

  • Indigenous ownership or blanket endorsement
  • Consent, a social licence, or a universal sustainability rating
  • A carbon-neutrality claim
  • Preferential access to land, permits or procurement
  • A substitute for consultation, accommodation, taxes or Nation decision-making
